Red bricks and white bricks tend to look much better with grey shingles than some other shades of brick. We drove all over the place looking st new roofs. The problem is every solid roof i saw a variegated style that i loved. Red brick is sharp with a black or a vivid or dark blue roof and white trim gray brown or black roofs look good with green siding. Light olive house paint is attractive with those darker shingle colors.
